Wines

Our wines are carefully crafted by our winemaker to reflect the Lake George ‘terroir’.  The wines are made in small quantities and are not always easy to find, but they are increasingly sought after by those who are prepared to make the effort to seek out unique and rewarding taste experiences.

Our wines are now recognised as being amongst the most elegant - not only in the Canberra District - but in Australia. This has been recognised by one of Australia's leading wine reviewers, James Halliday,  who has awarded an  'Outstanding' ranking to our Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Shiraz Viognier and Chardonnay wines in the last couple of years. On the basis of these rankings, Lerida Estate is a Halliday 5-star Winery.

Winery

Our winery is designed by the distinguished Australian architect, Glenn Murcutt, and ‘sits lightly’ on the ethereal Lake George landscape. In 4 major sections - the winery, the barrel room, the cellar door/cafe and the courtyard - where-ever you are in the building, you are surrounded by elegance, beauty and precison. It is a fitting home for some of Australia's best wine!
